“ We haven't even left the restaurant, and I felt compelled to leave a review. 5 stars, 10/10, make this your next meal now, please. We are visiting Charleston from near Baltimore, MD, and saw this place across the parking lot from our hotel. The indoor eating is fairly limited but worth the wait (which was only 5-10 minutes at 12:30pm on a Friday). We ordered the chicken pad Thai at little spicy level and the chicken masaman curry at mild. Both astounded me. By far the best Thai I've ever had. And the hostess does it all - who greets you, takes your and phone orders, cleans the tables - is so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for this culinary experience. My only caution is if you try it, you'll want to return everyday. ”
“ The food was fresh and delicious, worth the wait. Service was amazing! The atmosphere inside was so cute and very chill. The mayor of Charleston should definitely be ashamed of herself. The outside atmosphere which the owner of this establishment has no control over was sad and unsettling. I almost didn’t go in because I didn’t want to park where I couldn’t see my car. ”
“ I'm in town visiting my parents in Charleston, WV. Found this restaurant with excellent reviews and thought, let's check it out. I was not disappointed at all. First time trying PA Mama, fried Ramen noodles with shrimp. Amazing flavor in every bite. The portions are very generous for their pricing. Love the atmosphere, small and relaxing music to go along with the meal. They are not open past 6pm, thus the to go orders were plentiful in my observation. Highly recommend trying this restaurant for a quaint experience or enjoy the take-out. ”
“ Phenomenal, savory massaman chicken curry. Probably the best Thai I’ve ever had, and I eat Thai exclusively wherever I go. All customers in the restaurant had huge portions leftover to take home. Reddit spoke highly of this place and they weren’t wrong. This was cheaper than other places yet so good. So yeah! It’s chow time at Chow Thai. Get ya some. ”
“ I ordered the Massaman Curry with chicken to go. The woman that took my order at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful, and I delighted myself with tempura seaweed chips from the market while I waited. My food was ready quickly and stayed hot for my 10 minute walk. The curry was rich, flavorful and indulgent. I asked for “little spice” and got no more, no less. It was quite possibly the best curry I’ve ever had. Excellent portion size so I’m looking forward to enjoying my leftovers and having the experience all over again. ”
“ My wife and I decided to stop and grab a bite from here and it was delicious. When they say Thai spicy is hot, they mean it. It was . The beef bowl was one of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten, and I’m a fat guy so I know food. . It was so good that we ordered some to take home to the family! My new favorite Asian restaurant! ”
“ Chow Thai is one of the best restaurants in Charleston, WV. The food is outstanding and the customer service is wonderful. Highly recommend giving them a try whether you have time to sit down or you are on a time crunch and takeout. Also, Charleston 2 Go provides delivery service for them so if you can't make it to their downtown location you can have Chow Thai delivered right to your door at home. We try to eat there at least once a week because it is just that good. You won't be disappointed. ”
“ Favorite restaurant so far in the city. Price and quality are not going to be beat anywhere. Only issue i have is that they close fairly early (6pm.) If you are on the fence between this and literally anything else in Charleston PICK THIS PLACE. ”
